Manual Therapy is a “hands on” approach which encompasses many different techniques.

The focus of manual therapy is to assess limitations/dysfunction and maximize the body’s own self-healing potential. All of our physical therapists are trained extensively in, and use, manual therapy to obtain the patient’s desired goals of returning to work, play, and sports.

Below are a few examples of manual therapy techniques:

  • Spinal mobilization
  • Peripheral joint mobilization
  • Massage and soft tissue mobilization
  • Neural mobilization
  • Lymphatic drainage
  • Graston Technique ( see under services)
  • Kinesio Taping (see under services)
  • Strain-Counter Strain
  • Muscle Energy
